They were showing all kinds of neat products that were all useful and useless at the same time, nevertheless the inventors were there, showing off their great idea. I am still working on mine, someday it will be ready for the show. But for now, still in the works.

Alternative Source of Energy

Year 2006 is a very unique time. The United States and the world is coming to a time when the price of oil is at a premium. Soon the shortages are going to hit home. Everyone is going to want a car that uses alternative source of energy. The government is starting to work out plans to phase in and encourage research and development of alternative fuel sources.

I can see just like on past times the Government will develop programs where an inventor with an idea would get a grant to encourage and support the research and development of an idea or a prototype.

I have a couple of ideas that I am researching on developing a "forever" engine. This engine uses no outside energy to generate power. It can be used to generate hydrogen for automotive industry and also produce power for residential and commercial uses.

With all kinds of tips about making money on the Internet proliferating around, it is hard to imagine that there are still lots of entrepreneurs who fail to have their businesses take off successfully.

What could be the primary reason for their failure? Simple. These entrepreneurs do not exert enough effort to have their endeavors skyrocket. And they lack the focus and the drive that the very successful businessmen have.

A lot of these enthusiasts spend a lot of time making complex plans, intricate Web sites and confusing sales processes. This is not the right procedure to make it big in cyberspace. Often, they fail to see the main idea and instead resort to side activities that distract them from the primary opportunity. What kind of site that has the ability to draw advertisers? Needless to say, the desirable sites are those whose demographics match the customer base of the advertiser. The more select the audience is, the greater visibility the site commands. It is difficult for users to notice a particular site given the amount of clutter scattered in cyberspace. To attract potential consumers, it is necessary to market the site in a consistent and aggressive manner. Demographics are an essential factor in knowing what will attract online visitors. Technology made it a child's play to acquire user information, but the right kind of data can be gathered when users have the initiative to register for the sites themselves.

Third, one must have the initiative and the resourcefulness to advertise the product. There are many ways to advertise products online, such as text links and classified ads. An entrepreneur only has to know which method would work best for the product or service offered. Text links are effective in the sense that it does not get all the attention that it was originally intended for, but it does a great job of pulling visitors to the sites. The advantage of using text link is that it is accepted as the most popular promotion vehicle among the users of the Internet. People often mistook text links as content, so they are actually read by potential customers. Text links are also inexpensive, one only has to pay the costs-per-click. The downside, meanwhile, is that text links are quite difficult to create. One has to be really creative to get a message across in just about fifty characters.

Aside from text links, one can also use classified ads for advertising. There are certain big-name sites where ads can be placed for free. There are many variations in advertising rates, depending on the popularity of the sight and the kind of audience that it garners.

Striking it gold in the Internet is no longer a pipe dream. It is a reality that an aspiring businessperson can achieve, as long as he or she is equipped with the necessary skills and qualities that will make things happen. Determination is the foremost characteristic that should be developed by people who long to be successful Internet entrepreneurs. It always goes to show that when there is a will, there will always be a way.

I finally went and made this tool myself. While working on my AdWord campaigns, coming up with good keywords is quiet a job. But then having to paste them into WordPad and adding brackets and quotes to each one is just annoying. My fingers get numb after I am done with one of those sessions.

Well I made a tool that you can paste a load of keywords or keyphrases into and it will return them with brackets and quotes around them.

Fact: The need to buy and sell items is made easy because of online auction sites like eBay. While these sites serve this purpose, they are also a means of achieving traffic. Especially those who are continuously putting up their products in these sites.

Part of the reason eBay works so well is its feedback system. All eBay users have a “feedback” page where buyers and sellers can leave positive, neutral, or negative feedback about each transaction.

Everyone has a bright idea now and then, what to do with it is the question that seems to stop those ideas dead in it's tracks.

I am going to list a couple of links that you can find usefull when you are looking for resources for your new bright idea.

Well the first place you want to go is to the US Patent Office website.

You can browse on their site to get more information on patents.

Next go to the Quick Search of the existing patents page.

Here fill in the Term 1 field with your keyword, then select the Field that you want to look for that keyword(s) in. In case you can't find it, the Description field is at the very bottom of the list. You can enter another keyword and a field to do a double search. Click Search.

Once the results come back, scan through the titles and see if anything sounds like what you are looking for. If oyu find one, click on the title.

Here you will find a lot of information about this patent. On the top of the page and on the very buttom you will find buttons for images and any other supplemants they have for this patent.

If you do not find anything that matches what your idea, you will need to do a pattent application search, follow this link.

Here you do the same thing, fill in the keyword(s), choose a field and search. Same procedure as above, scroll throught the titles, click on it and read the info.

If you don't find anything that looks like your idea, you have a good chance of having a new unique product/idea.

You did your homework, now you can hire a pattent search atturney to do a complete pattent search for you, and then a product development company.

Without this step of doing a search by yourself first, hiring someone to deal with your idea can be very expencive and fullish without knowing that you did all you could to confirm that your idea is unique. You can ofcourse pay some one to do this for you but know this, ideas come to many people but only a fraction of them are unique and "great", so throwing money at every one of them is not a very good idea.

Do your homework first, then hire professionals. It may take some time to dig through all of the patents but it is worth it.

It's a good feeling to know you got a potential winer.

Last Friday I met with Frank Sousa, he is a friend I met about five years ago when I worked for a company that did web hosting for him. He mentioned to me that he was making money on line and told me a bit about it. I was impressed and interested in what he was telling me but I didn't understand more than half of it.

Now almost 5 years later and about the same amount of time struggling to make it in the internet business an idea popped into my head, why not ask Frank to help me figure this out. Show me what I am doing wrong. I know he is successful, I don't know why I didn't ask him thousands of dollars earlier.

We sat down and talked for about three hours. He pointed me the direction I should be going. He told me number one thing is "focus".

I had everything from blogs to websites to AdWord campaigns plastered all over the internet. Frank found my most valuable asset and told me to focus on it.

It is so easy to get distracted and get pulled many different directions, but you have to focus. Get it done, finish it. That's how you succeed.

To Have A Good Idea

If you are not a natural seeker, you may have some difficulties with this concept. A natural "seeker" puts everything he sees through a filter. A solution filter if you will. All the life's experiences should be smooth and perfect or so the mind of a "seeker" thinks.

When you are on the playground with your kids, you see the playground as a platform for something better. When watching TV, it is a platform for new ideas. Use it. Find the problem in the existing product, think how it can be solved.

You will have hundreds of silly and impossible ideas but then that one time your idea will actually start making sense.

You could also start with an impossible idea and figure out a way to make it possible.

It is all in your head, just start using it. Put it to work.

But remember, once you start, sometimes it is hard to stop. You will sometimes loose sleep from thinking about a solution to a problem.

No Ice Roads

This is a concept. The problem is that spreading sand and salt on the roads so the ice and snow melts is great but it's an expence that could be avoided.

The idea is to mix salt or another chemichal that melts the snow and ice into the asphalt or concrete.

It is a great idea but salt will eventually wash off the road. Come up wiht a chemical that will bond or melt into the concrete or asphalt and you got your self an invention.

Here's another one of those clever ideas.

Last weekend, the company I work for (Wind Wireless, Inc. - www.windwireless.net) had a display booth at the Fairgrounds during the RV Show.

The guy next to us was selling pain reliever in a spray bottle. You spray it on the spot where it hurts, muscle or joints, back or whatever, rub it with your hand and the pain goes away within 30 seconds.

Wow, I thought, cool!

They were selling a 8 oz bottle for $15.00

I found out what that concoction was that they had in those bottles. It was rubbing alcohol with aloe.

$15.00 for 8 oz of rubbing alcohol.

Well, back to the point...

This was an RV show, but there were people selling rubbing alcohol, us selling wireless internet and a bunch of other people selling all kinds of stuff.

My idea is this, you can rent a booth at one of these shows for around $300 every weekend, no matter what show they have going on. People will come and buy. Just give them a reason.

AdSense, Again...

Ok, I am now regularly getting checks from AdSense. Every other month I get a check for about $120.00, that's $60 per month. I can pay for hosting and any other expences for running this site now. But since it costs me nothing to host and run it because I work at an ISP and get that for free I can just pocket that money.

It seems to me that the hits to my site are nearly doubling every year. I can expect about $120 per month next year and $240 the year after that. $1920 per month in 5 years and $61440 per month in 10 years. I can retire at 37 :)

I'll keep dreaming...
But hey, maybe it'll come true, wouldn't it be cool?

This is an addition to already existing product. The visor CD holder. Finally, the cell phone will not roll around on the floor, and will not be in the way of the CD player or the Heater or AC controls. Get it out of the way, stick it into the pouch above your head. You can crank up the music and still hear if the phone rings. It attaches to the visor with a elastic strap. The cell phone holder will be made of the same elastic, stretchy material and will be attached to the strap as in the picture bellow:

Packaging Matters

The way you package a product will make or break your venture. Just think, you are selling pajamas?! Uhm... Yea, pajamas. Who would think to buy pajamas, online, one better, how do you plan to sell enough pajamas to pay the bills not to mention make a good living?

Well you can look at it a couple of ways. One, you got pajamas to sell, sleep wear, apparel? Ain't going to work. Two, package it as a gift in a fancy way.

They did it. Check it out. You may have a simple product, a diamond in a rough. If you treat it as a big deal and respect it, so will everyone else. Package it in a fancy box.

It is a book written by Robert T. Kiyosaki. When I read this book, it really opened my eyes to the truth about the rich and the poor way and attitude about money.

If you are planning to be a success, I suggest reading this book. This is a great investment. Robert has written other books that are great but this one is the one you just got to have.

IDEA: Make a website about something you love or know alot about. Once it is all done, try to get it into any search engines you can for free. If it is an informative site Yahoo will usually consider including it in it's directory. Look for websites that are similar and request their owners to exchange links with you. Exchanging links will give you a better listing position in some search engines, like Google.

Sign up for Google AdSense account. Choose an ad type you want and place the code on your website. Google robots will crawl through and match up the ads to your site's content. If someone clicks on the ads, you get paid.

It may take a while for your site to start getting a sugnificant amount of visitors, so just sit back and let it do it's thing. Maybe even start another site.

My website www.mirru.com started 4 years ago, right now I am getting about 2000 hits. Making about $100 per month. That's without me doing anything really. Create 20 of these and you've got $2000 per month income.

PROBLEM: Why do we need to use 2, 3 or 4 amplifiers in our cars if we want a perfectly sounding, powerful sound system? Why are we able to only use one in our home system but not in the car?

SOLUTION: Create one car amplifier that will have multiple channels with multiple controllers and crossovers for all the speakers in the car, the highs, the mids and the powerful subs.

Leather Jacket of the 2000s

Problem: Isn't is about time someone updated the typical leather jacket? I can't look at them anymore. It's the 2000s, we need a new look. Why leather? I don't think I need to answer that question but I think leather is one of the most durable and long lasting materials.

IDEA: Diamonds are still Diamonds even in the Rough. This idea is designing and manufacturing fine jewelry using rough diamonds. It's a long shot but it may catch on.
